Wondering what fall semester will look like, let alone football. I can’t

Imagine what would happen at VT if there was a serious CV outbreak on campus. Would BBurg be able to effectively handle the potential mass casualty situation? IF that happened, people might question why students were allowed to come back before a vaccine was in place. I seriously think that at least 1 school in the US will have a big virus spread problem in the Fall. Will schools be opened to significantly liability?

With that in mind, now look at football. If this fall season was played, and some teams get shut down midseason, which is probably more likely than not, is it worth the PR nightmare alone for a half played, problematic result to the season? Does the season unintentionally become a Battle Royale, where the last two teams left standing get to play for the national championship?

Strangely, the last teams standing may actually end up to be Temple, Rice and Florida Atlantic. Because those were the only teams left to play in the final games, the NCAA would then have to change the rules to play the championship round robin style. Insane.

In seriousness, though, now incorporate the liability aspect to sports- if anyone dies from exposure via playing sports at VT, this becomes an even bigger nightmare for the school beyond who won or lost football games.
