Hopefully this helps someone here-
Just an FYI, a friend of mine’s dad has also become f’d up by Covid and is now in the hospital. This is some nasty stuff- at least for 60 year olds or more. And he likely got it from his 1 trip to Costco, or from transmission from one of the few people he has had contact with. Which is crazy because my friends family has been sheltering just like everyone else.
HIS INDICATIONS:
He brought his Dad to ER on Monday due to back pain, difficulty walking, and shortness of breath. They found negatives across the board CT scan, MRI, blood, urine so they send him home. Yesterday, he had a fever of 101 so they took him back to ER. At this point he can’t even stand, and was mentally lost. It’s like a being a combination of paraplegic / Alzheimer’s patient with no history of either. They immediately suspected Covid and tested him. 2 hrs later, test confirmed Covid positive.
He said he’s never seen anything like this with his dad. He was just with him Sunday running around Costco and his dad seemed fine. His mom is not yet showing any symptoms. They are hoping that he doesn’t have to go on a ventilator or anything like that but it is shutting down the rest of his body.
Lesson here- your parents wrapped up in bubble wrap for the next several months. Hope everyone’s family stays safe!
