I never did comment on DD decommitting from VT because reading around the Internet there wasn't much I could say that hadn't already been said.

I don't tweet recruits like some do. Never have. Never will. But I've been reading the Twitter feed between him, other recruits and especially VT fans. It's been interesting to say the least. The backlash from those who are angry over his decision IMO is from the way he handled this situation on his end.

The trolling, putting us in his final three when he KNEW he wasn't coming here, using Bama and TAMU, and blatantly saying that he chose Auburn because their academics are superior to VT'S (child please!).

He chose Auburn because it's the SEC baby. Bigger stadium, major fan and alumni support, bigger and better athletic department, bigger and better facilities, more committed to FB and last but not least more of what's important......MONEY.

I also wouldn't be surprised if Fu's last second flirting with Baylor was used against VT as well.

One more thing. Recruiting for Auburn is easier than recruiting for this program. Seriously. We haven't been relevant since 2011 when Clemson whipped our tails twice. Once at home and again in the ACCCG. It's been all downhill from there wrt to recruiting.

2017-18 was a mess with graduation, players leaving for the draft early, injuries, on and off field problems including in the locker room, piss poor attitudes from some who wanted to lose to Marshall to end the bowl streak so they could go home and a head coach who didn't see what was happening until it was too damn late. It 'ain't easy being us.

In the end we got left standing at the alter by our program's crown jewel recruit. Shart happens and now we move on. I wouldn't be a head coach in any college sport where my job security depends on the thought process of a 17 year old kid for any amount of money. You simply couldn't pay me enough. I'd love to know what's going through Fu's mind right now.
