There are a lot of reads to make instead of following a specific play
If I told you:
"Go to the grocery store"
Thats pretty easy...
But if I told you:
"Go to the grocery store, but if there is a cop on 2nd street, hit the market before you come to Independence Ave. If there isnt a cop, but rather a security guard on Main Street, go three blocks the turn left onto City Street."
Thats a bit more complicated and harder to learn
But once you get the patterns down, you become much more difficult to "find" or guard because you can make real-time adjustments based on the principles of the offense.
You need smart players who are experienced in order to be most successful. VT is getting smarter, but theyre still pretty young.
