The problem we have is nobody will ever know how many people have
actually been infected so far nor know how many total americans were infected as alot of the cases will never be tested due to asymptomatic people or people that had mild symptoms and dealt with in a day or two and went on about their lives.
Other problems are the way they count "confirmed cases" some states are doing it differently than others. Does a re-test for someone that was positive count as a new "confirmed case"? Also the financial incentives for the whole virus deal with healthcare. Many reports of medical folks counting anybody as virus unless they have something very obvious that is not virus, (car accident, gun shot) due to hazard duty pay to the medical.
Its a mess is the bottom line
