In 2000, we were third in the country in coaching staff salary.


In 2020, we are somewhere in the 35-40 range.

These days an elite recruiter like Jim Cavanaugh would cost us in the $700k range. VT can no longer afford coaches like that without a much greater resources. Frank had a huge advantage over Fuente in terms of money available to spend on coaches, relative to the competition.
