He’s very personable. He’s played the game at the highest level. He’s a Hokie so he knows the history, the area, the background, our roots etc. He’s well connected and liked. He’s young. He’s also an X and O guy.

He checks every single box except coaching experience. If he succeeds as a DC then he could very well be next in line. Perhaps we are even grooming him for when Fuente bolts for a Midwest job (that’s going to happen). It would all make a lot of sense and be a smart plan.
