They'll lose 12 starters and a couple more rotational 2-deep players

Most concerning is in the next 2 seasons they'll lose 7 out of the 10 on the OL 2-deep. 2021 (assuming 2020 is played at all) should be a great year, but 2022 will be a step back for sure, losing too many upperclassmen and cumulative game experience all at once. Considering the size and relative talent of the 2020 recruiting class, there will be virtually no margin for error at all in the 2022 season. They'll need every single current sophomore to stay and not get injured, and above-average percentage of 2020 recruits to become contributors and also not get hurt. A strong 2021 class can help cushion the blow, but if they fail to get that, then any injuries or transfers or what have you are going to result in pushing the top 2022 recruits immediately into service as freshmen.

A step back in 2022 is a virtual certainty with how top-heavy (age + playing time) the current depth chart is. A poor showing in the 2021 recruiting class and it will take a lot of effort and a good bit of luck for that backwards step to not land on a banana peel.
