So a 9-game season all around, plus conference championship games. Since the ACC and SEC only play 8 conference games, they can keep normal interconference rivalry games (UF-FSU, GT-UGA, etc.), and ND can fill out 8 of their games exclusively from the ACC. Any ACC and SEC teams left that aren’t paired up can keep one other OOC home game.

And finally, to make up for the lack of measures to compare conferences objectively, the playoffs can be expanded to 8 teams just this one year. A auto bid to each Power-5 champion, plus one to the highest ranked Group-of-5 champ, plus two at-large.
