Bingo. A vaccine is, IMHO, a long way off, if ever.
The common cold, which isn't so common, because it is a variety of different viruses tells why a vaccine is unlikely. While more strains are rhinoviruses, some strains are coronaviruses, and, uh, well . . . we haven't licked the common cold yet - not even close.
