The FB players are basically telling the non-revenue sport athletes that they don't care if those sports get cut, which is what would happen with a 50/50 revenue split. Right now, they are getting about 2-10% of FB revenues in the form of scholarships and room and board. There is room to negotiate for more, but the schools will let the current players walk out the door and replace them with new ones long before 50% is reached. There are plenty of players at Fresno State, San Diego State, Boise State, and San Jose State who would be happy to be offered a PAC-10 roster spot.
