I am going to bet Fleck tried to retain the services of the wide receiver just as Fuente did for his cornerback. Any reason not to believe he didn't try? If he didn't, wouldn't that be irresponsible? You have a 4* athlete in your fold and you don't try and keep him?

And, like Fleck, once the decision was made, Fuente came out in full support of his athlete.

Not sure what the difference is other than Fleck has to make a big deal out of it.
