Not sure I agree with him. College athletes are a different breed.
We're talking about 19-22 year olds here. The same age where they can go downtown and throw back beers 6 nights a week and have no issues the next morning. The same age where students pull 3 straight all-nighters for exams and work through it just fine. Physically, college football players, especially in major P5 programs, are in insanely good shape and are certainly not physically incapable of playing football in a shortened offseason. It's nearly unheard of to have a player in college deal with a nagging injury spanning multiple seasons. [Post edited by SkoHokies at 08/11/2020 3:52PM]
