This is a risk / return evaluation - just like all other things

If we want to have “zero” traffic deaths, we can do that tomorrow - ban all cars. We tolerate certain levels of risk because no one is walking from Nova to Blacksburg. Risk is getting killed in a car wreck to drive there in a few hours. All tolerate that level of risk.

We can guarantee no one gets Covid 19 at Lane Stadium - ban everyone from coming, no games, even 1Hokie1/Jonyhawk is stopped from jumping the fence. And doing that probably folds the athletic department and forever alters the school but no one got sick and died.

So, we aren’t banning cars or games at Lane. The powers to be are determining what level of risk they are willing to take and what is the cash flow generated by x,y,z scenarios with the lawyers comment on each as to what could happen.

I personally would be fine with the teams playing on tv only, and with the SEC, ACC and B12 still on the fence, some serious money likely available.

Why surrender Saturday’s to the NFL? ACC might be able to name their price if this is negotiated properly. Covid test everyone on Thurs / isolate / play on Saturday. Test again after the game. Repeat cycle next week.
