I've had Covid. Outside of losing my sense of taste and smell for four or five days, it wasn't much different than a cold. Sure, some people die from it, but they are the same people who are at increased risk of dying from any infectious disease (eg the common flu). This isn't the Black Plague, which killed off 60% of Europe, or even the Spanish Flu, which was far more lethal and hit the very young hardest .
