Surely...a quick trip through the google machine sez....


That somewhere between 9% and 22% of all sudden cardiac death in athletes is due to myocarditis...

The cardiac angle is the big issue here, as reported by people in several of the conferences....

There's a decent articleon this on ESPN, and a really detailed one on SI.
