I thought his post was more about Ellis's decision than anything else.


There was some drama. Normally when a kid leaves they just leave. Sometimes they bad mouth a program or other players. In this case Ellis's mother basically called out the coaches for playing Tayvion Robinson, and made fun of Robinson's 40 time compared to Ellis's. Given all of that data, the only thing Ellis accomplished is moving closer to home. I don't know him, but I think his objective was to play.

I also think we are a much better program than Maryland. Fu and Locksley aren't even in the same coaching universe. Josh Jackson isn't particularly athletic and isn't a very good qb. But in our system....he actually looked quite competent. Not so much at Maryland. Just my thoughts. If Locksley was our coach we'd probably land a few big fish recruits from the DC area from time to time. But our win record would be abysmal.
