That was a huge VT missed opportunity

When you successful and the rest down, that's when you go all in and push to top ten. HOWEVER

VT took it, milked it, balanced the books, without reinvesting in contributor redevelopment, increased in revenue streams. new state of the art facilities. VT wanted to be a stanford.

Now its just real hard, now. so many of our peer schools are in the football improvement program and spent serious infrastructure with contributors, outreach, facilities, resulting in very aggressive recruiting. and lets see more sport friendly admission policies.

Look at VT strategic plan, (folks really need to read it). It reads all about a world class land grant university, academic and research excellence with completely different education . ( yes strategic plans mean something). The VT funding programs and budgeting in burgess hall is re-engineered to invest mostly in programs that promote the strategic plan. What does this mean to athletics???

There is NO mention in the broad university plan that links athletic success to the broad vision and plan for VT excellence for the next 25-30 years.

WHile we see nation leading Medical campus in Roanoke/Blacksburg with one of the most creative medical education programs in the nation, as well as a world class innovation center campus linking the nation's leading IT/data analytics companies of the world and VT is a player now, just like Cal and Stanford. Leading edge education in transportation and drone technology. Its really fantastic. WHERE Is the drive for innovation, aggressive successful efforts in athletics that link to the university NOT....

Thats' why we have a problem
