I am not sure but I think a whole lot of scholies went to WR and OLmen. I really can't complain about the progress of VV and the OL although I don't think their growth is what it should be. I am complaining about the way Defensive recruiting has gone under Fu but sort of give him a pass because his defensive lynchpin (Scott) failed him.

This is just an opinion but I think Bud's role in the Fuente years was to work with Scott to hold the defense while the main focus went to Fu and the offense. Thing is Scott failed him, Bud really was not a long time fit and he did not get very far with the O as evidenced by all the movement etc.
