Beamer’s first 6 years he won 24 games..and the 6th year was one of the toughest to bear.
The following years we have cherished for the most part.
Fuente was going to have a really strong team this year.I think with our “normal” schedule this team would have won 8-9 games.
The CoVid situation has eliminated the easiest games we had scheduled and replaced them with tougher games.
All of the power 5 is better due to the ease of transferring.the margin for error is much smaller than Beamer’s time when we could redshirt 3 stars and coach them up to 4-5 stars.
I like the direction of the offense.
The play calling has to improve and we have to have better depth at WR.but we are better in the OL and & RB/QB than we have been in years.
The defense is in transition, but I love Tapp and Teerlick and am hopeful that we have an up and coming DC.
I love our players. They have heart and are talented. We need defensive depth but who knew Hunter, Waller and Farley would be on the field a total of 4 games?
I just want to win tonight and hopefully most our guys will return and we can see what is possible next year and beyond.
Recruiting was good until the last two years (Mack Brown had an impact).
We need to step it up if we want to be in the top 3 in the conference going forward.
I am willing to wait another year.
