Here’s my issue: There’s a world of difference

between thoughtful analysis, critique, and recommendations on the one hand and incessant complaining on the other.

The “sunshine and rainbow” crowd (of which I am a part) are, I think, sick and tired of constant whining, complaining, and blaming.

The urge to look for and to express positives is largely born out of an absolute fatigue from the constant barrage of negativity. The criticisms are so repetitive, unsophisticated, and focused on blaming one or two people. They rarely are accompanied by any suggested solutions or any measure of objectivity, balance, or acknowledgement of the challenges and difficulties of doing the job.

For those that provide more thoughtful and reasonable analysis and critique, I’m sorry you get lumped in with the simpletons. But the “Corny sucks,” “I could call better plays than him,” “Fuente sucks,”. “He doesn’t care about winning” crowd is the most incessant and vocal segment.

It’s just tiresome to hear, over and over and over and over and over again. The optimistic contingent is, in my opinion, a reaction to the constant negativity.

The TSL poll makes it clear that the NATTs are a very vocal minority. I just thought it might be helpful to understand why some seek to look for positives and reasons to be hopeful. It’s largely in an effort to help this board from becoming completely unreadable and insufferable.

I’m sure Will doesn’t want us suggesting posters go elsewhere, but if TSL is too positive for some, there are cesspools — oops, I mean other message boards — that might be more to the NATTs liking.
