Of course there are reasons for concern, but there has been so much negativity on the interwebs that reality is being distorted. Here are some things I have seen posted more than once recently, followed by the actual truth.

"We have an abysmal record vs P5 teams the last 3 years." Actually, we are 15-14. 29-22 since Fuente came on board.

"We are no longer competitive in the Coastal."
Actually, Fu has had us in 1st or 2nd in 3 of his 5 seasons. 2018 was a known and expected rebuilding year and this year Covid got us, but even this year VT was 3-3 in the Coastal, 5-5 in the ACC. Fuente is 4-1 vs UNC, 4-1 vs UVa, 3-2 vs Duke, 3-2 vs Pitt, 3-2 vs BC, 2-3 vs Mia, 1-0 vs GT post PJ.

"We have 2 losing seasons in a row" ummm, no. 8-5 last year including a bowl loss.

"We finished dead last in ACC recruiting last year" Cmon, we did not do well, but it was a small class by necessity and we hit a homerun in the portal.
