If you're trying to teach the guys GRIT, this ain't it. You finish.

Today's youth have a low tolerance for discomfort. And it's a problem. This would be akin to me putting it up for a vote for my kids to do their homework. Sometimes, the adults need to lead. There is almost zero risk for student athletes getting seriously ill. They'd have a greater chance of getting killed in a car wreck on their way to practice. So it's really about not wanting to be tested a few times a week. Yes, it's a game. In fact, if everyone wants to just call it quits, let's just take away the scholarships. Because it's a joke for these kids to get a free education to play a game.

Thank God for guys like Trevor Lawrence or we wouldn't have had a college football season. I hope our guys realize in 10 years what an overreaction this was. That's how they'll be remembered. The old Hokies would have done anything for just one more game with their brothers. We shouldn't be surprised this crew can't compete with Liberty for four quarters. And yet we're told they're ready to be a professional athlete. Gimme a break.
