Help me! So, I was watching recruits announce their commitments yesterday
And most are going to schools that are currently dominate. Top guys going to the likes of Clemson, OSU, and BAMA. I understand they want top competition in practice and want to win somewhere with a winning pedigree. I struggle with this tension of wanting to go somewhere with a winning culture and taking the easy way out. When guys go somewhere that is established, to me, it almost seems like they are not willing to work to establish something somewhere else. I get it though, players want to go somewhere that will athletically prepare them for the next level and recruiting pitches play a big part in it. It just seems too easy for a 5* player to say “I’m going to BAMA” or “110% committed to Clemson”. Again, I get it, but it seems that the blue collar and lunch pail traditions no longer attract recruits and that makes me sad.
