There is a chance the defensive hires have the approval of the new DC and that announcement of the DC was delayed for some reason. There is also the chance that with all the COVID upheaval the planning horizon is a little longer than one year. I think there are quite a few things up in the air surrounding not just the football program but, the athletic department and university as a whole.
