Y’all, I’m hoping that I’m wrong on this, but based upon simple forecasting of the current inoculation numbers/rates, I’m calculating that it will take about 510 days from 3 Jan 2021 for the entire population of “innoculat-able” folks of in-state Virginia to get their vaccine. If this calculation is anywhere close to true, then I don’t see how the Govna can open Lane Stadium in September.

My calculation: From Jan 3 to Jan 8, 68,613 folks in the state had their 1st dose administered. So that is a rate of 13,722 per day. The population of Virginians age 18 and older is 6,999,520. So that translates to to 510 days for every Virginian to get a vaccination. [Data Sources: www.vdh.virginia.gov/coronavirus and US Census]. Note, I am ignoring the 2nd dose for simplification, and assuming folks under 18 are not approved for vaccination.
