For what it's worth in ACC games this season the top teams in terms of defensive free throw rate (I'm using free throw rate because it is tempo neutral) are:

1.Notre Dame
2. Georgia Tech
3. Miami
4. NC State
5. Virginia

So the idea that ACC refs are trying to protect UVa by not calling them for fouls doesn't really hold up to any sort of reality.
