Recruiting budget vs. Class ranking?

I'll agree that Fu contract does feel high for the results produced. I think there would be equal amount of unrest if he were making less.

None of us know the bahind closed door conversations and promises that were made either. It seems, from past dialog, that he was shocked when he actually got here as to how behind the facilities and program infrastructure was. My assumption, for what its worth, is that Whit and company, had committed resources in him coming here to remedy these shortcomings.

Fu, not being loud and boisterous, as opposed to Shiano at Rutgers has just been quiet about it. Shiano was very open about his big contract + mega money required into the program to get him to coach there.

Finally now, in 2020/21 we are seeing those commitments taking shape, student athlete center for example.

It's also unclear how much, if any, of his salary did he actually take in 2020. We know there were standardized reductions of salary - but have zero idea on what he choose to keep in the program to help alleviate the burden.
