The thing about UVA losing tonight...
Is something I've seen hundreds of teams do, including Virginia Tech. They pass the ball around and have good movement until the final minutes when someone has to step up and make a shot. Then the team stands around, I guess trying to not get in anyone else's way, waiting for someone to step up. The ball doesn't move around the court to an open man, and when the clock shot about runs out, whoever had the ball last jacks up an off balance shot.
We're lucky to have people like Cattoor, Aluma, Cone, etc. who have no problem putting up a shot in those circumstances, and seem to even want the ball in those settings. Virginia didn't seem to have anyone other than Clark who wanted the ball and they didn't end up getting good shots because of it.
Worse yet, UVA finished the game with two timeouts in their pocket. They could have used them and set something up....
