You're right. One representative dimwit quote often doesn't offer enough of a sample size to be statistically significant. Which is why we look for a single post that's teeming with lots of dimwit quotes all from the same source, that way we can be a lot more confident concluding we've found a representative dimwit -- I like reading Sabre and TSL football and basketball posts because I value and respect the opinions and analysis of those may be closer to the game than time will allow me to get, and I think our rivalry is overall very healthy, but posts that offer overgeneralized, over-the-top, personal attacks on issues such as IQ, and suggesting that Hoos who post are "simple," are tiresome and don't contribute much to any discussion of relevance. Posts of substance that are interesting and thoughtful unfortunately get lost among posts like yours, making it harder for everyone, Hoo and Hokie alike, to get value from these boards. Let's keep our posts fun and classy and enjoy the rivalry, refraining from personal attacks on one another's fan base as a whole. Hoo knows, maybe we can learn something valuable from one other in substantively rich conversations and debate . . .
