If I had to guess right now, Wilson makes the football team and is a minor contributor. He plays football until the end of the regular season and if he is going to contribute for the bowl game (or if it's a bowl game we care about and not a campingworld.com Independence Bowl), Wilson will stay on the football team until the bowl game, then rejoin the basketball team for ACC play.

If that's the case, he's still a basketball scholarship.

I don't see him making the football team and rejoining the basketball team in mid-October for practice. If he's on the football team, he's on the football team until at least Thanksgiving.
