Agry except the whole "nurtured this behind closed doors for years" no way

This is something that came about out of sheer opportunity - the same as, well, virtually any job opening, coaching or not.

Right place, right time, we have a temporary arrangement. It's a great one for us.

Buzz literally was gone to TCU though this offseason, Jamie DIxon took his job unexpectedly but the deal was done. I wouldn't put too much stock in anything but the here and now ... which is FANTASTIC.

But we win THIS year. Next year is a bridge we cross when we come to it.

That is the mindset that every single person in the basketball organization has after this past offseason I am very certain, and it is the right one to have -

we have the chance at a historic year ahead of us!

But the partnership between Whit and Buzz? That's just business. Theyr'e in business together. They absolutely are not buddies who are planning world domination together and this is the realization of their life-dreams.

This is a stepping stone for buzz. Ideally. Now some times stepping stones turn into landing spots, life happens, reality happens, years go by, and who knows!?

WHIT is the guy to be focusing on. He got us the best coach humanly possible and then some. Basketball is relevant now. He's going to have MORE money in 5 years than he does now. I believe he will keep basketball relevant a lot longer than buzz williams will, and if buzz williams stays at VT for a long, long time, I would put that on Whit too, or just plain dumb luck.

The point is Whit got us Buzz .. coaches are NEVER forever (throw beamer out the window and whatever 2-3 other examples from bygone eras you want to point to) .... but whit can and will hit a home run again and keep vt basketball relevant if/when the time comes

Seriously where does the "gaming this partnership for years behind the scenes" idea come from? I am very open to the idea that you know something I don't. If so please elaborate!
