I disagree about the natives not liking the hire. I know a lot of people who are fired up about the hire. He is an above average recruiter, who hired above average recruiters. He just needs to make sure the offense can produce. As bad as his offense was while at Florida, he still did better with the same talent than Jim Mcelwain has done so far.
