Would it be an upset if UT is overhyped?

Yes, the week after it will be viewed as an upset because of the rankings. However, that view may lose steam as the season plays out. If UT finishes the regular season at 8-4 and VT finishes with a better record, then people may not see it as an "upset" anymore. If anything it would just be another example of why preseason polls are meaningless and why a couple games should be played before the first poll comes out.

Also, if you think UT is overhyped, then are you sure UT won't pull a "Michigan" against App State the week before? If UT is truly overhyped, then there is a chance that UT could be going into the game 0-1 and ranked 15-25 (depending on their preseason ranking).
