with help from special teams. Beamerball died a long time ago and TV announcers still talk about it like it was still in its hay day. Buds D has been declining in recent years and the O has not picked up any of the slack. I have always been a big Bud supporter but I am a bit surprised he is ranked #1in this list in a "what have you done for me lately" world. He certainly would deserve it if the evaluation time frame was like 1996-2011. I still would have him in the top 3-5 overall though IMO. However, IMO he is going to need to show significant improvement this year or there will be more discussion about his "decline". If the O improves significantly, it will certainly help Bud so his unit is not left on the field for so long as it has been for so many years in the past at VT. We need balance! Loved Beamer but I am really glad to have an O minded HC now.
