It seems as though most

on this board don't have the ability to take off the O&M glasses and have an objective opinion . I love VT just as much as everyone else , but I see a huge difference in recruiting between Buzz and Fuente when I take a step back and try to look at it without bias.

Everyone below wants to say
- He hasn't coached a game here yet .
- He hasn't been through a full recruiting cycle yet .
- Things weren't peaches and cream when he got here .

All of those points are fair , but you could have said the same with Buzz. Only his arrival date was way later in the recruiting cycle , the program was way worse off . Etc . Look at the first class & the transfers Buzz' got. And look how great he's recruited since that time . VT bball was way worse off than VT FB. Yes I realize some of those 1st recruits were JJs players and others were going to Marquette . So if you don't want to use Buzz to compare , then compare Fuente to the other big time college hires and look at their classes . The whole ''it's his first year'' excuse isn't a good one . That's arguably an easier year to get guys . You can sell them on Change , Playing time, etc .

Again I think coach Fuente can coach . I also think he was a pretty good hire . But I do question his ability to recruit . Apparently I'm not suppose to have that opinion . Hopefully you all are right
