In defense of Greenberg, he did a lot of stuff to get students involved.

Wrote columns in the Collegiate Times....went around to Fraternity and Sorority meetings to try and get people interested in the team...Had weekly "Chalk Talks" to try and get people interested in the team. Used his own money to buy a ton of tickets for the NIT the first year he went...

He may have been a jerk and putting on a front...but he was generally well-liked by the students during his time. I'd actually say that he did a lot more to be involved with the students than Buzz has done so far. In other words, he did a lot of extra-curricular stuff that "wasn't all about him".

For what it's worth (not much), I like(d) both of them as VT's coach. Greenberg probably should've left a couple years before his firing fiasco went down...but he was a good coach for VT.
