Blacks have fought and died in every war in US history even when being oppressed at home. Military Service has nothing to do with patriotism for most who join. Its usually just believed to be an opportunity for the poor. If it did signify patriotism over 90% on this board would not make the cut. Less than a few percent of citizens volunteer to serve and when it was a requirement many who are praised today and tout patriotism avoided it like the plaugue.
