Thoughts on the close Evans/Motley competition in camp this year?

Ever since the Liberty game, Evans has looked the part to me. He has looked comfortable in all situations, like he knows the offense, and has the tools to put us in a position to win. I was very happy with what I saw in the Liberty, UT, and BC games.....and very happy with his progression even Saturday.

With that said, what is your take on the "close" competition in camp this year between Evans and Motley? Was it added motivation for Evans? Was Motley showing improvement as a QB? Was it trying not to favor the JUCO guy that they went out and got even though we had a senior QB?

My assumption is that there was never really a competition and that Evans was the guy from the start. After all, why go out and nab the best JUCO player in the land to have him sit the bench? Also, the eye test shows that Evans is ahead of Motley on a number of levels.
