Nortre Dame is a beautiful campus. Even in the snow and wind you could see the architecture symmetry and the common themes in every building. The Dome, Church, Grotto and Touchdown Jesus are very classic buildings. I was amazed they only have 8,000 undergrads for the large campus. The stadium is old and undergoing the big redo. We sat on the tiny seats (wooden benches) on the home sideline. After we talked with out ND neighbors (asked about the people we got our tickets from). Everyone was very polite and helpful. Lots of helpful people all over campus. One very loud ND fan behind us who questioned every call made the game interesting. But he was knowledgeable and never hassled us. Bathrooms were small but very warm! Lines the whole game. The students threw marshmallows during the game for some unknown to me tradition. Seemed harmless and fun for the fans.

We got invited to an inside Tailgate that was great. Warm room, lots of friendly ND fans and Free beer. It doesn't get any better.

I'd estimate about 10% of fans were VT (8k). Very loud all game. Lets Go Hokies and noise on ND third downs very noticeable. Because of the closeness of the game (2nd half)no one hardly left before the final play. I thought it was a great turnout for a very cold game and a 4-6 team. The ND band did a nice job at half!

After the game, the fans and the staff were super friendly and polite. We need to treat them all to Hokies Respect in 2018! We actually got out of our Parking lot with no problems and wound through town pretty quickly (we were with a ND grad!).

Loved seeing Jon Bon Jovi on the field supporting his son for Senior day!

Can't say enough about the heart of this VT team. Nothing was keeping them from winning the game. They didn't look cold and had great sideline enthusiasm even when down 17. Future looks bright.

Go Hokies, Beat the UVA-Charlotesville....
