I totally get why VT would nominate Sam for the award- he is the ultimate senior leader and ultimate Hokie. But I think it's a real shame that the clear best player in the state isn't even on the final ballot. Schor had a nice season but he is a system QB. Kiser is a decent player on a horrible D who looks great when compared to the guys around him. Brian Brown is also a nice player but again is a product of a system IMHO, he is not the primary driver of UR's success.

I would argue that no player in this state had more of an impact, or had a better year, than Jerod Evans. He should have won the Dudley hands down.
