First off, great post. I really "Doug" it! All kidding aside...

You make some great points, but let me echo some things said below.

For better or worse we are a Football school that currently has one more game to be played before ACC Hoops starts for us on Saturday. Hell, TSL only recently writes previews Hoops previews for only ACC games for the most part. After The Belk Bowl, business should pick up here I hope:

That said, there may have heen much more excitement here so far if we were playing better or at least interesting OOC games. With Blacksburg being in BFE it hurts when the students are gone and The Cassell is half empty. It kills me that The Dookiee are playing here on NYE and even though the game is sold out some are saying that there might 2K empty seats. That blows, but it is what it is. I do not know what the answer to that is. Maybe become "Road Warriors" when we can't draw a good home crowd? Find a home away from home in a major alumni base while classes are out? There is no easy fix.

Any way, I am really happy where The Hokie Hoops, men and women, are right now. The Lady Hokies are undefeated and the men only have one come from ahead loss to TAMU as a blimish! Granted we would have lost to UCLA if we would have held the lead on The Aggies, but you never know. That's why you play the game.

Thanks for dropping in and checking our pulse. We need to get called out for still being in such a Football Fog. I am disappointed with the lack of excitement here too. Come back Saturday after we beat The Dookiee and I am certain that there will be a much more hyped board!
