Make it 8 teams. period. no question.

Here is why, no matter the amount of teams like 12 teams or 4 teams, whatever. The following two teams 9 and 10 or 13 and 14, also as we know now 5 and 6 will always be unhappy that's always going to happen.
To the committee side of things. You need to have something in place that is a logical and human figure to over see the playoffs the computers that come up with the AP Polls can also be very questionable.
Know to the format of the Playoffs. If you went with 8 teams you'll have the main P5 conferences champions and the last three with be the highest bid team in the ranking. For example say Ohio State didn't go to the conferences championship game but they had a good strength of schedule they could take the 6-8 seed. Also the location of the games 8 teams, 6 major bowls (Fiesta, Rose, Peach, Cotton, Orange, Sugar). You pick 4 bowl in the Quarterfinals to let the 8 teams play it out. For 2 days New years eve and day unless the 1st is on a Sunday or the 31st is on a Sunday it will be played on the day after (NFL and Church). Semifinals will be again you pick the bowl game witch will be the winner of the quarterfinals. The highest seed to come out of the quarterfinals with play the lowest seed or what I think could be fun would be the two highest seeded teams play it out and the two lowest seeded teams play it out again the bad thing is in the national championship game could be a blow out with that option. With 12 teams, it would be fun "yes," but with that you will have to evenly spread out the games and as a fan that has a team in a 12 team playoff and planing on going that has a 12pm kickoff time isn't appealing to me as much as a 3:30pm or 8pm. (Tailgating) But 12 teams could be fun not say it wont just more difficult to figure out. Your thoughts?
