But your point is well taken. Blacksburg is one of the few towns that isn't totally "any town USA." Not EVERY restaurant is a chain, there's not a wal-mart on every corner pushing smaller, locally-owned businesses out of town... yet. Hopefully it remains that way. Every time I come back, I'm blown away at the changes and "progress" but so far it's not so much that it's not recognizable like my hometown of North Stafford.

As for Gainesville? Meh. at best.
