I look at average number of stars

To kingofcassell's point below -- the number of commits does factor in, so I tend to lookout average stars. VT's average star rating the past few years are below (stars are from Rivals rankings).

I think this year felt good at the end because of the couple of Top 10 VA guys VT landed. It was a nice uptick and a positive finish.
