I am referring to non Hokie fans here who whenever you look at the comment section, there is so much hate and anger still directed towards him. Yes, he did commit a heinous crime that is despicable. However, the guy served time for it and genuinely seems to have come out of the experience a changed person for the better. And I know for believe in forgiveness and second chances. Now if he was still in the news for the wrong reasons, then all that hate would have been justified, however that has not been the case to my knowledge. Instead he openly shares his story as a cautionary tale for other young athletes and also has been engaged with some non profit stuff.
