Robinson, Bibbs, Hill, Clarke,

Hill had an up and down year. Some might say that Bibbs was prone to disappearing. But basketball is like math - the more that some players handle the ball and look to score, the less or fewer opportunities that others have.

When Allen is in, there are often times in the half-court offense that: (a) Allen is going to look to drive and ball-movement changes from when Robinson is the primary ball handler and (b) last night for example, there was a concerted effort in the second half to look into LeDay when he was posting up and W was switching.

This is not a criticism of Allen nor should there be criticism of Bibbs (as an example). If the ball goes into LeDay and he does not flare it out like Happ did, then the ball isn't going to find Bibbs, Hill or whomever on the perimeter.

So in the second half last night, our offense involved alot of Allen driving or looking into LeDay with the occasional situation were Outlaw got the ball at the TOK.

So to your question, next year is going to involve more ball movement likely than this year. There isnt anyone who dominates the ball other than if Robinson dribbles a lot. I also think that Bibbs, Hill, Robinson won't have LeDay and Allen to defer to when they were in.

Hill showed flashes but mainly when he became more than a 3-pt shooter. Most of those times were in transition with the occasional half-court drive (like the reverse spin last night). If Hill works as hard this off-season as he did last off-season, he will grow even more.

I would like to see Bibbs work on his quickness because his dribbling along the perimeter is very slow and he bobbs up and down. That makes it hard to attack off the dribble unless there is a bad closeout he can attack.

It will be interesting to see the combination of Sy and Blackshear. Blackshear can operate in the high post. Sy didn't or can't. Will playing 3-out take away driving opportunities? We did it against zones and it was successful with Clarke or Allen (even Bibbs) in the high post.

But I see those 3 or at least Robinson and Hill being leaders. Is Outlaw someone who could be a leader? Don't know. I could easily see him averaging 15 pts per game as a scorer next year though he has to work on his defense, including foot quickness. Hard to see him guarding on the perimeter or the post.
