Buzz just doesn't like playing multiple bigs. He only wants certain type of big men anyway, which limits his base to recruit from. Even then, he's only going to play two or three max. For instance, even if the entire roster was healthy this year, Buzz likely would've only played LeDay and Blackshear, with Sy either redshirting or picking up spot minutes.

It's just Buzz's style, one he seems to wanna stick with.
