binding currently from either side but VT has the marker with being the first to offer. That may not mean anything in the end but it certainly will not hurt the situation any.

He is a honor roll student with a tremendous amount of athletic ability. A lot of things might happen between now and then, but he will not shrink and he already has the size to play db at the college level.

If for what ever reason, the situation changes, then the offer will not be extended into a written offer that can be accepted. Some of the blue blood programs have been doing this same thing for years so I am glad we are at least leveling the playing field.
