I think the ceiling may not be as high

We see this a lot. Hamilton, for example, was seen as being "athletic and having a potential for offense" when he came in. Later his scouting backed off that. I think Sy has good potential. Maybe my definition of athleticism is misguided after coaching for so long. But I don't think Sy is "fluid" and "smooth" enough to be seen as very athletic. He can spin baseline on people and make that 1 move. But i see a stiffness and uprightness in his game that can limit him. Mind you, that is not saying he is a bum, won't be good, etc. I can't see him putting the ball on the floor from further out than say 5-7 feet. Don't see him getting the ball at the high post and being able to flow down the lane unless under unique circumstances. Don't see him getting the ball away from the short corner and going by a close out. Can he develop a step and reverse spin move into the lane like say the ND post?

All i am saying that he can be very good and may be one of the best 5s we have had in a long time. His hands and ability to catch a ball under pressure will need to improve. I just see limitations that he will need to over-come. nothing earth-shattering.
